Syracuse University graduate and Los Angeles native, Matthew Levin, got his start working on HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, CO, directing several multi-camera shoots, including Harry Shearer’s “J. Edgar!” with John Goodman, Kelsey Grammer, and Christopher Guest.
Levin co-founded Captured Live Productions, where he produced the AdLib Comedy Series and X’s, critically acclaimed 25th anniversary special, X: Live in Los Angeles. Levin directed multiple live television specials while at Captured Live, for talent including William Shatner, Chelsea Handler, Heart and many others.
Levin has produced and directed several television specials for multi-platinum recording artist, Yanni, under the Levin Productions banner. These include The Dream Concert: Live from the Great Pyramids of Egypt, Live at El Morro, World Without Borders and A Living Legacy.
Levin was instrumental in the launch of BiteSizeTV, where he co-created Hollywood Today Live for FOX Television and served as Executive Producer.
Levin is also known for his work on the Oprah Winfrey Network, conducting in-depth interviews with celebrity guests including Leah Remini, Kenny Rogers, Master P and Lisa Rinna. During his time at OWN, Levin appeared on Bravo's Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and was nominated for an NAACP award for his work on the Oprah: Where Are They Now civil rights special.
An accomplished photographer, Levin is currently focused on his growing library of travel imagery.
